Day-by-Day Adventure Itinerary

Departure flight to Bamako. Upon arrival, transfer to accommodation at Hotel Tamana or similar.



Breakfast and departure to Siby (approximately 50 km from Bamako) to visit the Mandingo King and explore sacred rocks tied to the region's mythology. Meet a shaman at the sacrificial cave near the Camaján Arch. At sunset, witness a traditional Mandinka mask dance. Return to Bamako for an overnight stay at Hotel Tamana or similar.



Early breakfast and transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Timbuktu (approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes). Explore the legendary city, including visits to its neighborhoods, tombs of Muslim saints, Sudanese-style mosques, and a Tuareg community to learn about their life in the Sahara. Overnight at Hotel Colombo or similar.



At dawn, embark on a two-day boat journey down the Niger River to Mopti (approximately 450 km). Witness incredible landscapes and fishing communities, including Bozo (fishermen), Peul (herders), and Sonrai (farmers). Visit villages on the riverbanks and islands along the way. Overnight in tents.



Continue the journey, crossing Lake Debo, the largest fishing area in Mali. Observe fishermen casting their nets and experience the vibrant life along the river. Arrive in Mopti and transfer to Campamento Hotel or similar.



In the morning, take an excursion to a nearby fishing camp to learn about local practices. In the afternoon, explore Mopti’s bustling market, river port, and the iconic Mopti Mosque. Overnight at Campamento Hotel or similar.



Travel to Djenné, visiting the tomb of a sacrificed maiden, the 1906 Great Mosque, and Bogolan cooperatives. If possible, align the visit with the weekly market. Continue to Ségou, known for its colonial and traditional architecture. Overnight at Hotel Djoliba or similar. Note: Djenné is currently closed to tourists. If it remains closed, travel directly to Ségou.



Explore the avenues, colonial heritage buildings, and districts of Ségou, including the river port and notable sites. In the afternoon, travel back to Bamako. Overnight at Hotel Tamana or similar.



Visit Banantoumou, located 130 km from Bamako, to meet the Dogon community and witness their sacred Dogon mask dance. Return to Bamako for an overnight stay at Hotel Tamana or similar.



Travel to Fansira Koro, a small village about 70 km north of Bamako, to witness the Bambara 'Tiebletie' dance. Return to Bamako at sunset for an overnight stay at Hotel Tamana or similar.



Spend the day exploring Bamako, including the Artisan Market, Grand Market, Grand Mosque, and National Museum. Overnight at Hotel Tamana or similar.



Transfer to the airport for your departure flight home, concluding the trip.
